The Lünersee, a dammed lake, lies at about 1970m at the end of the Brandnertal. It can be reached mechanically by the Lünerseebahn or on foot via the Böser-Tritt. You can take a nice, easy but eventually boring walk around the lake. Several beautiful walks start from the lake's edge. You can climb up to the Lünerkrinne and even over it and on to the Heinrich-Hueter Hütte and down to the Rellstal or up to the Saulajoch or Saulakopf. You can go up to the Totalp and on to the Scesaplana or the Gemslücke; up to the Sud-Schaffgafall;up to the Schweizertor and the Lindauer-Hütte. Or you can go over the Gafalljoch at the southern end and down into Switzerland.
